Grade & Table Specifications

The table below will help you find the right calcium carbonate grade for your application. Compare particle size (D50 and % < 2 microns) to match the fineness you need, and brightness (Ry) to match the whiteness your formulation calls for. If you're not sure which grade fits, request the technical data sheet using the links below the table, or get in touch with a Serina team member for guidance on grade selection and availability.

Key Performance Benefits

High Brightness & Whiteness

Supports opacity and appearance, and in paint, it allows partial replacement of costlier TiO₂ without losing hiding power.

Low Oil/Binder Absorption

Lets formulators load higher volumes of filler without a corresponding rise in binder demand, useful for high-PVC paint systems and cost control generally.

Cost-effective Bulking

An abundant and inexpensive relative to functional pigments, so it reduces raw material cost while maintaining performance when used correctly.

Controlled, Fine Particle Size Distribution

Supports smoothness and gloss control in paint, printability and brightness in paper coating, and consistent dispersion in plastics/masterbatch compounding.
