Key Performance Benefits

Hydrophobic and lubricating

Ss the softest mineral (Mohs hardness 1), talc offers natural lubricity and water-repellent behaviour, valuable in plastics processing (reduced friction, improved flow) and cosmetics. 

Platy particle structure

Talc's flat, lamellar particles improve reinforcement and barrier properties in plastics and rubber, and support matting/sheen control in paint. 

High brightness (Ry 94)

Supports appearance and opacity requirements in paint and paper applications. 

Chemical inertness

Low reactivity makes talc stable across formulations, a key reason the TALC IP grade qualifies for food-grade use.
