Grade & Table Specifications

The table below shows our three dolomite grades, UF2, XF5 and VF10, all supplied as powder with consistent brightness (95). Particle size (D50) increases from UF2 through to VF10, finer grades suit applications where surface finish matters, while coarser grades suit bulk filling.

Grade Type D50, microns Brightness (SABS 137) Applications Stocked In

DOLOMITE XF5 powder 5 95 Rubber & Plastics Ceramics Construction JHB
DOLOMITE VF10 powder 10 95 Rubber & Plastics Construction JHB

Key Performance Benefits

Consistent high brightness (95)

Holds steady across all three grades regardless of particle size, so fineness can be chosen without trading off appearance.

Graded particle size range (3.5–10 microns)

Lets formulators pick fineness to match end use, from UF2 for surface-finish-sensitive applications to VF10 for bulk filling.

Cost-effective bulk filler

Dolomite's abundance keeps it economical relative to functional pigments, useful where volume matters more than fine performance.

Calcium-magnesium carbonate hardness

Contributes durability and low reactivity, a reason it extends into Construction and Ceramics where the paint-focused fillers typically don't.
